笠間芸術の森公園
陶炎祭の会場となるイベント広場や、東日本初の陶芸専門の県立美術館である茨城県陶芸美術館、大型遊具やふわふわドームのあるあそびの杜がある。また、日本最大級のスケートボードパーク「ムラサキパークかさま」が併設している。

Within this park is a large plaza where Kasama City's annual Himatsuri Pottery Festival is held. You can also find the Ibaraki Ceramic Art Museum, which is the first prefectural museum specializing in ceramics in eastern Japan, and Asobi-no-mori Park, where kids can play on large playsets and ‘fluffy’ air trampolines. In addition, this park is also home to Murasaki Park Kasama, one of Japan’s largest skateboard parks.
笠間工芸の丘
笠間芸術の森公園に隣接し、豊かな自然に囲まれた丘の上にある施設。笠間焼、工芸品、地元物産品の販売をはじめ、ロクロ体験や手ひねり体験、絵付け体験ができる工房や、公園を見渡せるテラスで飲食のできるカフェラウンジなどがある。

This facility is located on the top of a hill surrounded by rich nature adjacent to Kasama Geijutsu-no-mori Park. In addition to selling Kasama-yaki pottery, crafts, and local goods, there is a studio where you can try making your own pottery via the potter’s wheel, hand-shaping, or ceramic painting. There is also a cafe & lounge for visitors to eat and drink on the terrace overlooking the park.
笠間稲荷神社
日本三大稲荷のひとつ、五穀豊穣、家内安全、交通安全、商売繁栄の神様として全国より広く信仰を集める。御本殿は国の重要文化財に指定されており、春には樹齢400年にも及ぶ紫色の藤が、また秋には色とりどりの菊が境内を彩る。

As one of Japan’s three major Inari shrines, here the god of plentiful harvests, family safety, road safety, and business prosperity are worshipped from all over the country. A 400-year-old wisteria tree in the center blooms purple in the spring and colorful chrysanthemums decorate the precincts in the fall. The shrine has been designated as a national important cultural property.
笠間日動美術館
1972年に日動画廊創業者・長谷川仁によって創設された美術館。企画展示館をはじめ、フランス美術の巨匠の作品を展示するフランス館、画家のパレットコレクションが並ぶパレット館がある。施設中央の野外彫刻庭園では、芸術と自然美の共演が楽しめる。

Opened in 1972 by Jin Hasegawa, the founder of Nichido Gallery, this art museum contains a special exhibition hall, a French hall that displays the works of masters of French art, and a palette hall wirh a palette collection of painters. In the outdoor sculpture garden in the center of the facility you can enjoy the coexistance of art and natural beauty.
春風万里荘
「万能の異才」とうたわれた北大路魯山人の住居・アトリエだったものを昭和40年に北鎌倉より移築。館内には魯山人遺作の名品が展示されている。約1100坪ある広大な庭園には、四季折々に多くの草木が生い茂り、趣ある花々が一年中咲き誇る。

In 1965, the residence and studio of Rosanjin Kitaoji, a man said to have "universal talent", was relocated here from Northern Kamakura. Masterpieces of Rosanjin's works are displayed in the hall. In the vast garden of about 3,636㎡, many types of vegetation grow according to each season and quaint flowers bloom all year round.
石切山脈（地図にない湖）
明治32年から100年以上続く稲田石の日本最大級の採掘現場。ここで採掘される稲田石は「白い貴婦人」といわれるほど白い石肌と美しい光沢、優れた耐久性を兼ね備え、日本橋や東京駅、最高裁判所など全国有数の歴史的建造物に使用されている。

Japan’s largest mining site for Inada stone－operating since 1902 for more than 100 years. The granite mined here has excellent durability and an especially beautiful white and lustrous surface, so much so that some refer to it as the “White Lady” of stones. The granite has been used in some of Japan’s leading historical buildings such as Nihonbashi, Tokyo Station, and the Supreme Court.
常陸国出雲大社
北関東自動車道・笠間西ICより１㎞の場所に鎮座。国造りや縁結びで有名な大国主大神を祭る。日本最大級の大しめ縄は圧巻。境内には吹きガラス工房やお食事処のほか、現代アートギャラリーや樹木葬霊園なども併設されている。

This shrine is located 1 km from the Kasama-nishi Interchange on the Kitakanto Expressway. It is dedicated to Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, the god of nation-building and match-making. The large shimenawa rope, one of the largest in Japan, is an incredible to behold. There is also a glassblowing studio, a restaurant, a contemporary art gallery, and a tree burial cemetery on the premises.
稲田禅房西念寺
「稲田御坊」と親しまれ、ここに親鸞聖人が「教行信証」を書き進めた「稲田草庵」があったとされる。浄土真宗発祥の地として多くの人が訪れる。親鸞聖人がお手植えになったと伝えられる境内の巨木「お葉付き銀杏」は県の天然記念物に指定されている。

Located here is “Inada Soan” (sometimes called “Inada Gobo”) where the Buddhist monk Shinran Shonin wrote his “Kyogyo Shinso”. Many people visit Sainenji Temple as it is where the Jodo Shinshu sect of Buddhism was founded. Next to the temple stands a large ginkgo tree―a natural monument of the prefecture―said to have been planted by Shinran himself.

筑波海軍航空記念館
太平洋戦争終戦まで設置されていた「筑波海軍航空隊」の施設。司令部庁舎や正門、号令台などがほぼ当時のまま現存し、その規模は日本最大である。映画「永遠の０（ゼロ）」のロケ地にもなった、戦争の記憶を語り継ぐミュージアム。

A facility of the "Tsukuba Navy Air Corps" that was in use until the end of the Pacific War. Some sections line the headquarters building, main gate, and command stand. Still exist as they did at that time as the largest of its kind in Japan. Today it remains a museum that tells of the memories from the war and as a filming location for the movie "Eternal 0 (Zero)"

高さ23ｍ、360度パノラマの展望台のほか、オートキャンプ場やバーベキュー施設、ローラーすべり台が完備されている。また、茨城県観光百選にも選ばれている白鳥湖には周囲約2kmに遊歩道があり、四季折々の美しい景観を楽しみながら散策できる。

In addition to a 23m high, 360°panoramic observatory, it is fully equipped with a campsite, barbecue facilities, and a long roller slide. In addition, Hakucho Lake, which has been selected as one of the 100 best sightseeing spots in Ibaraki Prefecture, has a promenade with a circumference of about 2 km where you can take a walk while enjoying the beautiful scenery of each season.

愛宕神社
大同元年（806年）に創建されたと伝えられている歴史ある神社。日本三大火防神社のひとつといわれている。愛宕山には昔、天狗たちが住んだという伝説があり、十三天狗のほこらなど、天狗にまつわる場所が多くある。奇祭・悪態まつりが有名。
A historic shrine that is said to have been built in 806. It is referred to as one of the three major fire protection shrines in Japan. There is a legend that tengu (mythological creatures) lived on Mt. Atago in the olden days, and that there are many places related to tengu, such as "Hokora of the Thirteen Tengu". This shrine is famous for the strange festival called "Akutai Matsuri",where pasticipants shout curse word.

合気神社
1944年に創建された世界で唯一の合気道に関する神社。合気道開祖である植芝盛平翁が長い間、修行・研鑽されたこの地は「合気道の聖地」ともいわれ、日本国内はもとより、世界各国から多くの修行者が訪れている。
Built in 1944 , it is the only shrine in the world dedicated to Aikido. It is said that Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido, dedicated his time to the training and practice of Aikido here. It is also called the "sacred place of Aikido", and many people come to practice from all over the world.
